Artist Statement

I work with themes of transience and cognition. Hope lies at the heart of my practice — I understand it as potential energy which, through transformation, can have a tangible impact on the environment. I am interested in what lies in between — dream and reality, truth and fiction, humour and seriousness.

In my practice, the tension between the potential and the actual is crucial. The objects and situations I create function as fields for exploring various forms of potentiality. I often work in series, treating repetition as a tool for bringing out hidden values that only become apparent when the works are viewed in a broader context.
